๐ข๐๐๐น ๐๐ป๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ด๐๐,
Colossians 3:15 says, "And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful."
Today's entry is solely inspired by a motion from the Holy Spirit of God. Though I haven't blogged in quite some time, I feel an urge to pray for the state of the world, but more specifically, Ukraine.
Since my last blog entry, I've had so many pivots to happen in my life.
1. Career Move.
2. My Husband & I transitioned to a new home.
3. Ministry is Always a Constant
4. Growing Ginormous Children. Lol
5. Community Outreach Projects
6. And, the world is still coming out of the Pandemic plus so many other positive changes.
Nonetheless, I feel like this is the right time to get my fingers warmed up. My heart is with this blog daily; but life's circumstances don't always allow perfect alignment.
But, yesterday morning while driving to work, I remember praying to God and asking Him, "Father what can Michael & I do about the crisis happening overseas? What's the solution for us as Christians, around the world, as we watch Russia invade Ukraine? How can we help? I want to help immediately, but how?"
Strangely, just several hours later, I was listening to a local radio show, "The Austin Rhodes Show", and he discussed unity in prayer for Ukraine. One of the guests, Pastor Will Dyer of First Baptist Church, Augusta, GA mentioned that it was time to come together for the sole purpose of praying. Pastor Dyer stated no matter your belief, I think a united goal for those of us who love God, want peace for everyone. So this coming Sunday, hundreds and maybe thousands of people will come together (in this region) to pray for peace. Pastor Dyer said whatever your belief, let us pray, together.
In the United States alone, there are over 200 types of Christian denominations. It would be impossible for me to name them all. But the point made by Pastor Dyer is for all to come together and pray. The best thing about prayer is that you can pray from anywhere. Your desk. Your vehicle. On a bus. In a mall. In your home. At your church. No excuse.
And so it hit me like a ton of bricks! Yes they'll need a plethora of resources, yes donations will be made, but most importantly, why not come together and ask God for supernatural intervention?. Like duh Monica! Our God today, is the same God of yesterday. He's be the same God tomorrow. He is the same God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Galatians 3:29).
All I want right now is to pray. So will you pray with me?
Father God in the name of Jesus, we continually give you all the glory, all the honor and all the praise. We know that even in the darkest of seasons, in war, in peace, in chaos and in triumph, everything will work for the good of those who love You, those called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Father God right now we call on You for supernatural peace. We call on You God to turn hardened hearts back to You oh God.
We call on You God to end this war. We ask You God to heal the evil of this world. We ask You God that You allow Your army of Angels to takeover and intervene that shows the glory of who You are. Father God use Your Ambassadors around the world, to intervene, and impact the hearts of those responsible for these egregious acts. Your Word says in Matthew 7:7, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." We're asking You Father.
Father God, in all of this, what I do know is that in the end, we win!! Your Word says in John 16: 33 Jesus says He has overcome the world. Father we know the devil is big mad. So he wants to cause as much destruction and division before the end. But Father, those who are in You, we pray that You overturn those hearts that satan is trying to win over. Father God I pray for our enemies. I pray for their salvation.
Over 2, 000 years ago, a Man named Jesus Christ, Your Son God, came into the world. He came not to condemn the world but that the world through Him might be saved. When Jesus, my Savior died on the Christ, He died with future bloodshed and evil in mind; such as Putin's war. But the war is already won. Jesus died for past wars. He died for he wars of today. And He also died for future wars.
Father God we love You. I love You so much. I am so grateful for Jesus. Father God, we pray that this bloodshed and suffering ends today God. When it is all said and done God, we will always give You the glory and praise, that You so righteously deserve.
It's in the matchless name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
