In 2 Timothy 3:16, the scripture reads, "All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness"...

Crisis come not only for testing but to strengthen us. When we find ourselves in the trials of life, it's like a pop quiz in social studies that you were either prepared for or that caught you totally off guard. At all times, we must be ready for any storm. We stay ready for storms by staying in the Word of God, studying His Word, Praying, Fasting, and living a righteous lifestyle to the best of our ability. By studying scripture, it consistently sharpens us, it guides us, and it trains us to have Christlike character.

Scripture says in Hebrews 4:12, "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart". It's saying the word of God is life and this life has more power than you could ever imagine or fathom.

One of the biggest lessons I've had to learn while going through trouble is correction. Crisis taught me to examine myself, review myself, and better myself. Crisis taught me to look at my own heart and not point the blame at anyone else. Crisis taught me responsibility and accountability. Crisis taught me to look at my relationship with God and search for areas of improvement. The scripture says in Psalm 139: 23-24, "Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Father in the name of Jesus, please correct us while we are in the midst of crisis. Father God teach us, mold us, shape us, and train us so that we can walk into the way that is everlasting. Father God please build our character so we are changed at the end of a crisis. Father God we want to be better and do better. Father God we know there is a lesson in testing. Father help us to not miss the purpose of testing.

Father God when it's all said and done, I pray that every person reading this prayer, even if it's just me, that we never go back to the same person we were before the crisis. Father God complete a supernatural work in me, in the reader, and in our individual trials of life. Father God, like Job, I still trust You. I still have faith in You. I still love You. I still believe in You. We know God You will never leave or forsake us. (Hebrews 13:5).

In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
